Pet Boarding


Hospitality is our specialty! We feel you will find our boarding facility one of the most comfortable and modern boarding facilities in the area. Our Hospitality Team works hard to ensure your pet enjoys their sleepovers. From comfortable clean bedding, to play time, treats, or just that little something extra that makes your pet feel at home. Our professional staff is well equipped to provide for your pet during their stay with us. Tours Available

We love to show off! Want to see where your pet will spend the night? Just ask any of our team members for a tour! For the privacy and security of our guests please call to schedule a time and tour in advance. Call 417-358-1300.

Grooming Available

Much like the spa at your favorite five star resort, our professional groomers and stylists will treat your pet to some special pampering during their stay. Just ask to schedule their appointment while making your reservations. Rates vary by breed and services.

Accommodations

Central Pet Care offers a variety of comfortable accommodations, from private two room cat condos to spacious "playpens" for our larger guests. Our feline guests enjoy a special area all their own to enjoy some quiet cat time, while our canine guest can enjoy their own special recreation areas.

Guests

Central Pet Care provides your pet with the comfort of clean cloth bedding. However, if you wish you may bring your pet's favorite rug, blanket or bedding. Their own treats and/or toys may also help to make your pet feel more at home.

Feeding

Meal time includes a fresh supply of iVet Healthy Gourmet pet food, appropriate for your pets age and weight. We would be happy to feed your pet's own food if they are on a special diet or prescription (additional charges will apply). You are welcome to supply your pet's own prescription or therapeutic diet. They may also be purchased at check-in or during your pet's stay.

Veterinary Services

Veterinary services are available for your pet during their stay. A Veterinarian is available during regular business hours and is on-call for after-hour emergencies.

TLC (Tender Loving Care)

The TLC program gives your pet the opportunity to have extra playtime, be walked, or brushed regularly. You may specify the activity, length and frequency for your pet. Each session is billed in 15minute increments.

Special Needs

Central Pet Care is well equipped to take care of your pet's special needs. Our nursing staff will make sure that they receive medications, treatments or other medical services while staying with us.

Reservations

During holiday or high travel seasons, please make reservations six to eight weeks in advance.

Rates

Rates are assessed per animal according to the number of nights stay. Charges for TLC, administering medications or special diets will be billed as they are administered.

Boarding Prerequisites

We recommend owners make reservations as soon as their travel dates are confirmed. For the safety and protection of your your pet we require that the following vaccines and screenings be performed within the last twelve months. All guests entering our boarding facility must at a minimum be current on the following preventative vaccines and screenings. If your pet has not had vaccines before, it is recommended that they receive vaccines at least 10 days prior to staying with us.

  • Bordetella (including 6 month booster)
  • Rabies
  • Negative Heart Worm/Intestinal parasite exam
  • Current on Flea/Tick/Heartworm preventatives

  • *Revolution for the prevention of fleas/ticks and other parasites is recommended
If you had vaccinations from another hospital, please bring your pet's medical history with you or have the medical records faxed to us before you arrive. If your pet does not have a verified medical vaccination history, an exam and vaccinations will be given at your expense upon your pet entering our facility. Central Pet Care does not accept owner-administered vaccines. To maintain the parasite free nature of our facility, ALL pets are required to be free of fleas and ticks.
